Flapper Style
The flapper style changed a ton from the earlier days. The new style was a result of the French fashions. Coco Chanel was the main person who influenced this fashion change. The new "in" look was very boyish. It consisted of short hair, flattened breasts and a straightened waist. The hemline was usually above the knee, but this new look was not used until 1926. Women removed corsets from fashion completely, and the flappers were the ones who made it acceptable for women to have short hair. In addition they would wear tight fitted hats. Back then silk stockings were usually held up by garders. Also when dancing flappers would try to show their legs. To enhance this they would add rouge to their legs.
